Savannah, GA : 15-year-old seriously injured after being struck by vehicle on Canebrake Road in Chatham County on Wednesday, January 6, 2016

Savannah-Chatham police say a 15-year-old was taken to Memorial University Medical Center with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle around 7 p.m.

The accident happened on Canebrake Road, which was closed at Highway 17 and Gateway while the Savannah-Chatham police department's Major Accident Investigation Team worked the scene.
