Motorcyclist Died Following Wreck With Pickup
Spring Island, South Carolina
One person is dead following an early afternoon crash on US 15 in Clarendon county near the town of Silver.Frederick Nacovitch, 55 of Sumter was pronounced dead at the scene. According to LCP Joe Jones with the highway patrol, Catlin Selicia, 46 of Goose Creek was driving a 2003 Cadillac north on US 15 when the car traveled into the southbound lane striking a Nacovitch on a motorcycle. Nacovitch was driving a 2008 Honda motorcycle and he was wearing a helmet. After striking the motorcycle, the car, according to Highway Patrol, went into a ditch and overturned. Selicia was transported to Clarendon Memorial with minor injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt.
The accident remains under investigation by Highway Patrol.
