GUILFORD COUNTY, NC : Driver killed in head-on crash with tractor-trailer identified on Tuesday, 17th October 2023

Police identified a man killed in a head-on crash on US-29 southbound in High Point Tuesday.

The crash happened on US-29 between I-74 West and Baker Road around 1:40 p.m. and shut down the highway for several hours.

Police said 56-year-old Leo Rideaux was driving a pickup truck and crossed the median, hitting a tractor-trailer head-on. Rideaux then collided with an SUV behind the tractor-trailer.
