Tamworth, N.H : Kyle Matthews, 22, killed after running into path of UPS truck on Route 16 in Tamworth on Wednesday night, November 19, 2014

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a UPS truck on Route 16 in Tamworth Wednesday night. Kyle Matthews, 22, of Wonalancet, was pronounced dead at the scene before 10 p.m. by Tamworth emergency crews. Police said they initially came upon two stopped UPS trucks at the scene, and one had struck Matthews as he darted from the woods into the path of the truck, which was traveling northbound on Route 16. The driver of the UPS truck involved in the accident was not a UPS employee, but was driving the vehicle to a repair facility in Tilton, police said.
