Tallahassee, FL : Surveillance video clears Venus Williams of blame in fatal car crash on Saturday, July 8, 2017

Tennis star Venus Williams has been cleared of breaking the law in a fatal traffic crash last month after new video footage of the incident emerged.

Williams "lawfully entered the intersection" before the collision in Florida, Palm Beach Gardens, police have now said.Police cited "new evidence" - video surveillance footage - that showed Williams' Toyota Sequoia had entered the intersection legally before the collision. A Hyundai Accent driven by Linda Barson collided with Williams' SUV in an accident that left Linda Barson with multiple injuries and her husband, Jerome Barson, critically injured.

Jerome Barson died two weeks after the accident.
