Sigel, PA : Tionesta woman killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash in Eldred Township on Sunday morning, September 25, 2016

A Tionesta woman was killed and three others, including an infant girl, were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Eldred Township, Jefferson County, Sunday morning.

Marienville-based state police report that at 11:05 a.m., 24-year-old Scott R. Nolan of Portage was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 south on Route 36 when for unknown reasons, the vehicle drifted into the opposing lane, where it struck an oncoming 2007 Chrysler driven north by Cheyenne N. Snyder, 24, Tionesta.

After the impact, the Ford rolled over and came to rest on its wheels blocking the road. The Chrysler traveled a short distance off the road and came to rest on a private lane along the east berm.

Snyder succumbed to injuries sustained from the crash and died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

Nolan, as well as the two passengers in the Chrysler, Ronald S. Pacsai, 33, and an infant girl, both of Tionesta, were also injured. According to police, Nolan and Pacsai sustained injuries of unknown severity, and the baby suffered a possible injury.

All three were flown by medical helicopter from the scene. According to the report, the infant was secured in a child safety seat; however, it is not known to police whether Pacsai was wearing a seatbelt.

Police were assisted by the Pine City and Sigel fire departments, along with the Sigel ambulance service.
