Macomb, IL : Ty Rylander, 20, dies in head-on crash with semi-trailer truck just outside Macomb on Monday night, November 17, 2014

A 20-year-old Pittsfield man died in a Macomb crash Monday night. The Illinois State Police report that Ty Carl Prentice Rylander died as a result of fatal injuries in a crash at 7:05 p.m. Rylander was southbound on U.S. Route 67 just south of Grant Street (N. 1150th Rd.) in Macomb when the ISP reports his vehicle crossed the center line and entered into the oncoming lane of traffic for an undetermined reason. The vehicle struck a semi driven by a yet unidentified driver. The ISP report says that Rylander was not wearing a seatbelt and the semi driver did have one on. According to the ISP, the cause of the crash was improper lane usage. An investigation is ongoing. Source : Pittsfield man dies in Macomb crash
