DUBOIS, ID : Juvenile ejected from vehicle after crash on Tuesday, August 8, 2017

A male juvenile was injured early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle car crash west of Dubois, which is located approximately 50 miles north of Idaho Falls.

Police said the juvenile, whose identity has not been released, was driving eastbound on State Highway 22 at approximately 2:30 a.m. in a 1997 Ford F150. When he drove off the road near mile marker 68, he overcorrected and crossed the road.

The truck then overturned, and the juvenile was ejected from the vehicle.

The juvenile was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. His condition is currently unknown.

The Idaho State Police said the juvenile was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.

The incident is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
