Edmonds, WA : Man driving stolen van crashes in Edmonds, flees on foot on Friday night June 13th 2014
Police investigated an injury crash involving a stolen van in the 22100 Block of Hwy. 99 Friday night.
At 11 p.m. all lanes were blocked between 220 St. SW and 224 St SW, and were expected to be closed for several hours.
Edmonds Police say the man driving the van ran off after crashing into a truck head on. Witnesses chased down the suspect and held him until officers got there.
The driver of the truck, a 48-year-old male from Lake Forest Park and the female passenger, a 63-year-old Brier resident were transported by medics to Harborview. Their conditions were not immediately known.
The suspect was transported to Swedish of Edmonds for treatment. Police expected to book him into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of hit and run with injuries, possession of stolen property, and other possible charges.
Officers diverted traffic while they investigated.
