Portland, OR : Motorcyclist dies after weekend crash with delivery truck on Sunday morning August 9th 2015

A motorcycle rider that was seriously injured in a crash early Sunday morning died in the hospital two days later.
Officers spotted the crash around 2:40 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of North Williams Avenue and North Monroe Street.
According to investigators, 32-year-old Robert Gabriel and his passenger, Tasheena Kuehl, 29, were riding a motorcycle west on Monroe Street.
They collided with a delivery truck that made a left turn from Williams Avenue. The truck was taking blood to the Red Cross.
Police now say the delivery truck driver was taking a legal turn, when Gabriel attempted to pass the truck driver on the left side and then crashed. Gabriel's excessive speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, officials said.
Both Gabriel and Kuehl were seriously hurt in the crash. The delivery truck’s driver was also wounded in the crash.
