Guadalupe County, NM : 2 Lubbock men dead in rollover crash on Interstate 40 around mile post 268 near Santa Rosa on Tuesday, 19th February 2019
Officials on Wednesday confirmed the names of two Lubbock men who were killed in a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday in New Mexico.
Just after midnight, New Mexico State Police were called to the scene to investigate the crash on Interstate 40 around mile post 268 near Santa Rosa in Guadalupe County, according to a NM State Police news release.
According to the initial investigation, a 2011 Chevrolet truck was pulling a trailer while traveling east on I-40 when, for unknown reasons, it moved into the center median and collided with the wire cable divider.
The driver, 39-year-old Thomas Kirk Eppers of Lubbock, was ejected from the truck, according to officials. Both he and his passenger, 39-year-old Trent James Glaser, were taken to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead.
