Florence ,OH : One dead and One injured in hit-run on Early Tuesday ,July 14th 2015

One man is dead and another is injured after they were struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in Florence early Tuesday morning, police said.

Tommy Strong, 31, and another person were in the intersection of U.S. 42 and Ewing Boulevard when a Ford F150 struck them around midnight, police said.

The driver, a man about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds, spoke to one of the pedestrians and then fled the scene, police said.

Strong and the other man were transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Strong was treated for minor injuries and released but the other man died at the hospital, police said.

Both men were not in the crosswalk when they were struck and may have been drinking, police said.

The Ford F150 is dark colored, missing the left side mirror and should have minor front-end damage, police said.
