GLENDALE, AZ : 13-year-old dies nearly 2 weeks after hit-and-run in Glendale on Wednesday, 24th April 2024

A boy who was struck by a driver while riding his bike nearly two weeks ago in Glendale has died.

Glendale police and the family of Elias Bizzle confirmed to Arizona’s Family that the 13-year-old boy died from his injuries on Tuesday.

On April 11, Elias and some friends were out riding their bikes near 47th and Northern avenues when the collision happened. Police say Elias and his friends were using the crosswalk when 27-year-old Joshua Holbert hit him.

After the collision, Holbert allegedly fled the scene. Friends and bystanders attempted to save the teen. Elias was on life support, family told Arizona’s Family.
