Collier County, FL : Two seriously injured in motorcycle crash in North Naples on Monday evening, February 1, 2016

Two people were seriously injured in crash involving a motorcycle Monday evening in front of The Ritz-Carlton, Naples off Vanderbilt Beach Road.

The crash happened around 5:50 p.m. Collier County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Michelle Batten said the collision involved a motorcycle and another vehicle.

Two people are being flown to Lee Memorial Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol is responding to the scene.

Batten said there are no road closures due to the crash, although it is blocking the entrance to the Ritz. As of 6:45 p.m., there was still heavy congestion in the area.

Jerry Sanford, a spokesman for the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District, said both of the injured people were on the motorcycle.
