Dallas, TX : Texas man hurt in wreck with semi in Kearny County on Thursday, 11th August, 2016

A Texas man was injured Thursday evening when the vehicle he was driving hit a semi in Kearny County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Jacob Rha, Waco, Texas, was driving a 2005 Honda Pilot north on West Street at the U.S. 50 intersection at about 6 p.m.

At the same time, Ezequiel Lopez-Hernandez, 37, Garden City, was driving a 2003 Peterbuilt semi east on U.S. 50.

Rha, in the Honda, failed to yield at the stop sign before making a left turn onto U.S. 50 and hit the semi.

Rha was taken to Kearny County Hospital with injuries. Lopez-Hernandez was taken to St. Catherine's Hospital with possible injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
