Terre Haute, IN : Two hurt in crash on Indiana 246 on Wednesday, February 22nd 2017
Two motorists were injured Wednesday morning in a crash on Indiana 246 near Clay City that closed the highway for about an hour.
Indiana State Police at Putnamville report a 2012 Jeep Patriot was westbound on Indiana 246 when it turned left into a small business. The Jeep turned into the path of a 2006 Ford Mustang, driven by Krysten McDaniel, 29, of Clay City.
McDaniel declined treatement at the scene, but will seek her own medical treatment, police report.
The driver of the Jeep, Janeece Stringer, 45, of Center Point, was transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital for treatment of pain and facial injuries.
ISP reports airbags and seatbelts reduced the severity of the injuries.
The accident occurred one half-mile west of Indiana 59.
