ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO : Woman charged after SUV wanted in homicide crashes during pursuit on Chain of Rocks Bridge on Thursday, 4th January 2024

A woman is facing a felony charge after police said she crashed her SUV into another car during a pursuit on the Chain of Rocks bridge.

St. Louis County prosecutors on Thursday charged Briana Smith of Riverview with one felony count of resisting arrest by fleeing.

According to court documents, an officer with the St. Louis County Police Department was in the area of eastbound I-270 and Lilac Avenue at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday when she recognized a silver Chevrolet SUV at a gas station that was involved in a homicide investigation from the day prior.
