Aitkin,MN ; Motorist crashes trying to avoid deer on April, Sunday 8th 2018

A 43-year-old woman was injured when the Buick LeSabre she was driving crashed at 9:46 p.m. Sunday on Highway 169 in Aitkin County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported Barbara L. Nordby of Palisade was traveling south on Highway 169 when she swerved to avoid striking a deer. The vehicle went off the road and into the ditch, striking a tree.


Nordby was evaluated on scene and transported by ambulance to Riverwood HealthCare Center in Aitkin for non-life-threatening injuries.
