Auburn, IN : Three people were injured in a two-car accident on Sunday, June 4, 2017
Three people were injured in a two-car accident that occurred at 6 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of U.S. 6 and Main Street in Kendallville. The injured included driver Angela Clements, 48, of Rome City, to be transported by ambulance to Parkview Noble Hospital. Passenger, Shirl Clements age 55, in Clements’ vehicle was also transported to the hospital. According to responding officer Matthew Todd of the Kendallville Police Department, Dallas Downam II, 29, of Kendallville was eastbound on U.S. 6 when he pulled in front of Clements, who was driving westbound. Downam’s 2007 Ford Taurus had little damage, while Clements’ 2005 Chevy Equinox had severe damage to the front of the vehicle. A passenger, Tina Brown age 47, in Downam’s vehicle was also taken to the hospital. Children ages 3, 5 and 7, who were properly restrained, were uninjured.
