Annapolis, MD : Two-motorcycle accident on April, Sunday 30th 2017

Eastbound Route 50 was closed briefly Sunday morning due to a two-motorcycle accident.

Maryland State Police responded a call for the incident around 11:10 a.m. April 30. The incident occurred on Eastbound Route 50 in the area of I-97. According to Cpl. Joe Schreyer, two motorcycles were involved in an accident, and both motorcycle operators were taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Lt. Cliff Kooser of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said the patients were a 27-year-old male and a 37-year-old female, who were brought to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Around noon Schreyer said Eastbound Route 50 was open again. It was closed for a brief period of time due to the accident, he said.
