MADERA COUNTY, CA : Driver wanted for fatal hit and run on Highway 145 on Sunday, 3rd December 2023

A woman was killed early Sunday morning after she was hit by a driver in Madera County.

The California Highway Patrol says officers were called to Highway 145 regarding a body found just north of Avenue 12.

Officers say a driver, for unknown reasons, veered on the highway and hit the woman before driving away.

According to CHP, a passing driver found the woman on the road around 2:13 a.m. and called 9-1-1.
