Negaunee,MI: Two Pepole injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US-41 on Minday morning,17th November 2014
The Negaunee Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US-41 and Baldwin Ave.
The crash occurred around 10 a.m. The Negaunee Police Department investigation shows that a silver 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, driven by 43-year-old Negaunee resident Christa Laforest, was traveling eastbound on US-41. She attempted to make a left turn onto northbound Baldwin Ave, but failed to yield to a westbound blue 2003 Dodge Ram pick-up truck driven by 69-year-old Negaunee resident Dan Rose.
Laforest sustained injuries in the crash and was transported by Bell EMS to UP Health System Marquette for treatment. Laforest's vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
The crash is still under investigation, but alcohol is believed to be a factor.
Agencies assisting the Negaunee Police Department at the scene include the Michigan State Police, Negaunee Fire Department and Bell EMS.
