St. Johns County, FL : Fatal wreck shuts down part of S.R. 207 in St. Johns County on Thursday, 6th February, 2020

A Hastings woman died after the SUV she was driving overturned on State Road 207 near the St. Johns County Fairgrounds on Thursday afternoon.

Sophia Lorraine Wesley, 48, was driving a 200 0 Toyota 4Runner south on S.R. 207 in the right lane when the SUV went onto the right shoulder, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Wesley “overcorrected to the left, then to the right” before the vehicle spun and overturned, coming to a stop in the median.

Wesley was not wearing a seat belt, according to the release. No other vehicles were involved. The wreck happened about 1:50 p.m.
