Mayo, FL : Four seriously injured in a wreck on U.S. Highway 27 on Wednesday night, February 22, 2017

Four people are in serious condition after striking a tractor on U.S. Highway 27 on Wednesday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

According to the report, Michael Dixon, 39, of Branford was traveling south on US 27 around 7:25 p.m. A John Deere tractor with a trailer driven by Hipolito Lozada, 69, of Mayo was traveling south on US 27 ahead of Dixon.

The report states Dixon’s 2013 Ford Escape struck the left rear of the trailer with its front right.

Dixon and his passengers Jennifer Peach, 36, Thomas Scheerer, 14, and Cameron Roth, 17, all of Branford suffered serious injuries.

Dixon and Scheerer were transported to Shands of the University of Florida. Peach and Roth were transported to Shands Live Oak.
