Knox County, TN : Pedestrian hit by car and killed on Chapman Highway near White School Road on Wednesday night, January 7, 2015

Chapman Highway has reopened following Wednesday night's deadly crash involving a pedestrian.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has confirmed that one person is dead after being hit by a car on Chapman Highway.

It happened a little after 7:00 p.m., near White School Road.

THP dispatchers say the person was hit by at least two cars.

Both directions of Chapman Highway are currently closed and traffic is being rerouted. The road is expected to remain closed until at least 10:00p.m.
