Paducah,KY : Motorcyclist sent to hospital in collision on July, Saturday 15th 2017
A two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, McCracken County deputies reported.
At about 1:35 p.m. deputies arrived at Watson Road for a wreck involving a 1954 Gladden Mustang motorcycle and a 2005 Acura.
Deputies said Gerald Hopkins, 74, of Paducah was driving the motorcycle eastbound at "a slow speed" with driver Caleb Norton, 30, of Paducah following. As Norton attempted to pass the motorcyclist with a clear lane, Hopkins abruptly turned left and struck the side of the Acura, deputies said.
Hopkins wasn't wearing a helmet, deputies said. He was taken to Baptist Health Paducah.
