HAZEL, KY : 1 injured in rollover crash in Hazel on Saturday, 22nd June 2024

One person was injured in a rollover crash in Hazel, Kentucky

Calloway County Fire & Rescue responded to the intersection of Hwy. 641 South and EW Miller Street in the Hazel community on June around 5:30 a.m. for a vehicle crash with injuries.

The vehicle had rolled over and the driver was trapped inside.

Firefighters found the vehicle on its side with one person still inside unable to get out.

They worked to stabilize the vehicle so firefighters could safely work on getting the driver out without the risk of the vehicle moving.

The roof of the car was damaged and caved in. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools, also known as the jaws of life, to remove a portion of the roof to allow medical personnel to access and treat the driver before removing him/her from the vehicle.
