Weatherford, TX : One dead in Parker County crash Wednesday afternoon on June 25, 2014

One person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision on a Parker County road near Weatherford, a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper said.

The crash was reported shortly before 2 p.m.

A pickup was southbound on Farm Road 51 just south of Texas 171 when it crossed into northbound lanes, colliding with an oncoming car. One person in the car was pronounced dead at the scene, DPS Sgt. Lonny Haschel said in an email.

The dead person was not identified, and information on other injuries was not released.
