Nashville, TN : A motorcyclist was killed in a crash at South Nashville On Monday, May 2nd, 2016

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in south Nashville on Monday morning.

According to Metro Nashville PD Sgt. Bob Sheffield, the driver of a red Chevy failed to yield left while turning onto Old Hickory Boulevard from Murfreesboro Pike and hit a motorcycle that was going straight.

Officials have not released the name of the victim but say he is a man in his late 20s or early 30s.

No charges have been filed against the driver of the car.

Sheffield said weather was not a factor in the crash.

All lanes of traffic have reopened at the scene.
