Tucson, AZ : Bicyclist killed in crash in eastbound lanes of Orange on Monday September 28, 2015
The eastbound lanes of Orange Grove are back open after a deadly crash involving a bicyclist, identified as Daniel Wilson.
Northwest Fire District crews were called to the scene at Orange Grove and La Cholla at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 29, where Pima
County Sheriff's Department officials say Wilson was hit by a car.
He was transported to the Banner-University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead around 6 a.m.
PCSD officials said Wilson had been heading east in the bike lane when the car merged over and hit him. There were several
witnesses to the crash, who tried to assist Wilson while waiting for emergency crews to arrive.
According to PCSD officials, Wilson was not wearing a helmet, but did have a flashing red rear light. Neither speed nor
