MAITLAND, FL : Driver killed in crash along Maitland Boulevard on Tuesday, October, 10th 2017

Police are investigating what caused a car crash that killed a 63-year-old man Tuesday afternoon.

Maitland police investigators told News 6 the crash happened at the intersection of Keller Road and Maitland Boulevard around 3 p.m.Police said they had to shut both roads down intermittently to clear the scene and investigate what caused it.

Some drivers told News 6 they fear it was the construction along Maitland Boulevard.

"It’s crazy. It's a lot of traffic," George Lopez said.

Lopez said he drives the stretch of Maitland Boulevard near Interstate 4 at least once a day.

"You wake up, and you’re like, 'How am I going to get to the school nearby?'" said April Mur, who drives her son to school every day.
