Montgomery County, MD: 1 dead in motorcycle crash in Montgomery area on Thursday, July 16th 2015

A 22-year-old man is dead after crashing a motorcycle near the address of 26333 Old Texas 105 West, according to Montgomery County emergency officials.The hospital district’s alarm system was notified of a single motorcycle accident Thursday at 10:29 p.m.Montgomery fire crews arrived at the scene to an urgent patient, who DPS officials identified Friday morning as Brandon Lynn Wyatt, of Houston, and paramedics determined he was in cardiac arrest due to the extent of his injuries.Wyatt was pronounced dead at the scene.Shortly before the crash, a Grimes County Sheriff’s Office deputy on patrol became involved in a pursuit of a dark colored motorcycle headed east on Texas 105 and into Montgomery County.The pursuit started on supposed traffic violations and eventually reached speeds up 130 mph, according to Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack.Officials said Wyatt drove recklessly, even running a motorist off the roadway before officers lost sight of the motorcycle.As officers continued their search for the driver they went into the city of Montgomery eastbound on 105, but Wyatt had gone southbound on FM 1486 at a high rate of speed, officials said. According to Mack, Wyatt lost control of the motorcycle when he left the roadway in a curve at Old 105 West and FM 1486.While DPS troopers and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office are still investigating the incident, officers are not suspected to have been involved in the crash.Mack ordered the body to be transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Services Center for autopsy.
