Norwell, MA : Two people dead in motorcycle crash on Thursday morning July 24th 2014

Authorities say two people have died in an early morning motorcycle crash in Norwell.

Police Chief Theodore Ross says a man and woman were riding together on a motorcycle when it crashed off River Street at about 5:45 a.m. Thursday.

No names were immediately released.

Ross tells The Patriot Ledger that the crash remains under investigation, but speed and weather were being considered as possible factors.

A neighbor says there was a torrential downpour in the area just minutes before the crash.
