YAMHILL COUNTY, OR : OSP identifies victims in deadly Hwy 99W crash near McMinnville on July, Tuesday 4th 2017
Investigators with the Oregon State Police have identified the victims in a crash south of McMinnville Monday that left one person dead.
According to troopers, a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire was headed north on Highway 99W and was slowing or had stopped to make a turn left turn onto Southwest Durham Lane when it was rear-ended by a 1993 Ford F250 truck.
The Pontiac was spun into the southbound land where it was struck broadside by a 2007 Toyota Sequoia SUV. The truck went off the road and crashed into a parked car before pushing into a house.
A passenger in the Pontiac, 29-year-old Jeremy M King of Falls City, died at the scene. A 3-year-old boy in the Pontiac was taken by helicopter to Salem Hospital for treatment while the driver, 24-year-old Billie J King of Falls City, and a 7-year-old girl were both taken by ambulance.
A passenger in the Toyota, 59-year-old Laurie Painter of Amity, was also taken by helicopter to Salem Hospital for treatment. Two other passengers, 59-year-old Laurie Painter and 27-year-old Brittany Painter, both of Amity, were taken to the hospital by ambulance while the driver, 62-year-old Kris F Painter, was treated at the scene and released.
The driver of the truck, 24-year-old Justin M Sauers of Amity, was taken by ambulance to Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville.
The investigation into the crash left to roadway closed for 6 hours.
