Vicksburg, MS : One person killed in accident on Highway 27 and Clay Street on Saturday, June 4, 2016

At least one person is dead following an accident in Vicksburg.

The deadly crash happened just before 4 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Old Highway 27 and Clay Street, in front of the Vicksburg Military Park.

Our photographer on the scene said it appears that a cream colored car slammed head-on into a traffic signal pole.

Vicksburg Police along with the fire department and ambulance service responded.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
