Colchester, VT : Route 7 was closed due to school bus crash on friday June 13th 2014

A school bus crash closed Route 7 near the Colchester-Milton line Friday.

Police say the first bus driver slowed down for a turning car when it was rear-ended by the second bus.

Luckily both vehicles were on their way to pick up kids and did not have passengers at the time of the crash.

"I would just say that everybody needs to increase their following distance, not only in bad weather but in good weather as well," said Officer Jack Lehneman, Colchester Police Department.

Two adults were taken to Fletcher Allen Health Care; one for non-life-threatening injuries, the other for observation.

Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles inspectors were called to the scene to investigate; there is no word yet on whether there will be any charges.

The road has since reopened.
