Dallas,TX : 1 passenger dead in rollover crash in South Dallas on May,Sunday 27th 2018

A woman died in a car wreck early Sunday in South Dallas, police say.

A 40-year-old man, whose name was not released, was driving south on Riverfront Boulevard near Cadiz Street about 2:10 a.m. Sunday with Whitney Hill, 30, riding in the front passenger seat when a car traveling the same direction changed lanes in front of him.

The 40-year-old man slammed on his brakes and veered to avoid a crash, but his vehicle hit the center median, rolled, then struck a fire hydrant.

Hill was taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police did not provide further details about the two drivers, including whether they were hurt.
