A motorcyclist was critically injured in an early Friday morning traffic crash in Kansas City, Kan.

Police said that wreck occurred about 2:15 a.m. Friday at 48th Street and State Avenue.

The motorcyclist was eastbound on State Avenue when he collided with another vehicle that was turning to go south, according to police.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The crash is now under investigation.
