Waterbury, CT : Driver crashes on Route 8 on Thursday, 28th November, 2019

A driver crashed through about 250 of guardrail, rolled down an embankment and stopped just 10 feet short of plunging into the Naugatuck River off Route 8 early Thursday morning.

Firefighters from Beacon Hose Co. No. 1 in Beacon Falls and Naugatuck cut through the car, pulled the driver out and carried him up the embankment so he could be taken by ambulance to Waterbury Hospital. The driver is suffering non-life threatening injuries.
