Sacramento, CA : A motorcyclist suffered major injuries in a collision on Monday, November, 20th 2017

A motorcyclist suffered major injuries Monday afternoon in a collision on Highway 150, east of Ojai, authorities said.

The collision was reported just before 3 p.m. on the 150 near Gorham Road, authorities said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, when the motorcycle and vehicle collided, they went off the roadway.

Ventura County fire personnel responded to the scene with a sheriff's helicopter.

One patient was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition as of 3:35 p.m., the CHP said.

The Ventura County Fire Department later said the patient was an adult male.

In addition to the helicopter, two county fire engines, one rescue squad and a battalion chief responded to the crash. They cleared the scene at 4:45 p.m.
