Livermore, CA : One critical in car-tree crash at Corral Hollow on Friday, August 19, 2016

An individual suffered major injuries when a car ran into a tree off Tesla Road at Corral Hollow around 6 p.m. Friday, authorities said.

No information about the person's gender, age or condition was available Sunday, but the Alameda County Fire Department reported in a statement that the injuries were life-threatening. The driver was the only person in the vehicle.

The vehicle crashed into a tree, authorities said, after which a helicopter flew the individual to a trauma center. The California Highway Patrol was investigating. No other information was available.
