Provo Canyon , UT : One women was in critical condition and three others persons were injured after She ejected from her vehicle in head on collision on Monday , January 26th 2015

A woman is in serious condition after being ejected from her vehicle in a Provo Canyon car crash.

At 9:21 p.m. on U.S. 189, the woman's car collided with another vehicle in "a close to head-on collision," according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce.

A man and his two sons, riding in the second vehicle in the crash, were hospitalized for visible injuries, which Royce said were "more on the minor side."

The woman was also taken to an area hospital. Her condition was serious but likely not life-threatening, Royce said.

Eastbound U.S. 189 was expected to remain closed until about 11 p.m., according to the Utah Department of Transportation. Westbound traffic was reduced to one lane.
