Seminole County ,FL : One dead and three hurt after wrong-way crash on early Saturday,July 11th 2015

An Orlando woman was driving the wrong way down State Road 417 when she struck another car, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers do not know why Awilda Figeuroa Olmo, 49, was driving a 2005 Chrysler north in the southbound lanes of S.R. 417 in Seminole County early Saturday, Sgt. Kim Montes said.

She struck a 2005 Chevrolet SUV head-on near Rinehart Road at about 2:45 a.m., Montes said.

Figeuroa Olmo had gotten out of her car when a third driver, a 49-year-old Longwood man, struck her Chrysler, propelling it onto her, Montes said.

Figeuroa Olmo was pronounced dead at Central Florida Regional Hospital.

The Chevrolet's passenger, a 31-year-old man, had serious injuries.

The driver, a 25-year-old Geneva woman, suffered minor injuries.

The third driver, who was in a 2006 Volkswagen, was seriously injured.

All three were brought to Central Florida Regional Hospital.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash, Montes said.
