More details have emerged in the fiery crash on Interstate 78 that left one person dead. State police say 24-year-old James Pinaire of Chatham was killed in the early afternoon crash that closed the highway in both directions. Sergeant Gregory Williams says Pinaire was driving an Audi and entering westbound I-78 from the Garden State Parkway when he drove in the path of a fuel tanker. Williams says both vehicles crossed into the express lanes and hit a tractor trailer. The tanker caught on fire, and the fire spread to the tractor trailer. Williams says the tanker driver, Balwinder Singh of Valley Stream, New York, climbed through the windshield of the burning truck. He's listed in critical condition.
