ASH FLAT, AR : An elderly couple died in a two-crash in Sharp County on Monday, July 31, 2017

An elderly couple died in a two-crash in Sharp County. The crash happened on U.S. 65 in Ash Flat on Monday afternoon.

The Arkansas State Patrol reports a car driven by Phyllis Gatewood, 86, pulled into the path of another car as she was turning left. Phyllis Gatewood and her husband Nelson, 93, both died in the crash. The couple were from Highland.

The driver of the second car suffered serious injuries.
