Grove City, MN : Two Atwater teens injured in rollover crash on U.S. Highway 12 between Atwater and Grove City on Tuesday morning, December 20, 2016

A 16-year-old male driver and his 14-year-old female passenger were injured Tuesday morning in a rollover crash on U.S. Highway 12 between Atwater and Grove City.

Ethan and Gabby Moll, both of Atwater, were transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield with non-life threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

Just before 8 a.m., Ethan Moll had been driving a 1998 Chevy GMT400 pickup truck east on Highway 12. He lost control of the truck on the icy road, ran off the road to the right and rolled.

The truck was severely damaged, the Patrol said. Both teens had been wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, but no airbags were deployed.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office also assisted the State Patrol with the crash.
