Putnam County , FL : 22 Years old women was critically injured when her passenger van collided with a flatbed tow truck at Westbound Florida 100 on late Saturday, January 24th 2015

A Florahome woman sustained serious injuries when her passenger van collided with a flatbed tow truck late Saturday on Florida 100 about a mile west of Bardin Road in Putnam County.
Jahala Bon, 22, was flown in serious condition to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville following the collision about 11:05 p.m. The tow truck driver, Ralph Dallas, 63, of Palatka wasn’t injured, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The preliminary investigation showed the tow truck was stopped on the north shoulder of westbound Florida 100. Bon was driving a Mercury Villager west on the highway when the tow truck attempted to make a u-turn to go east and turned in front of the van. Bon had to be extricated from her van by Putnam County Fire Rescue personnel, the highway patrol said.

Both Dallas and Bon had been wearing their seat belts, according to the highway patrol

The westbound lane of Florida 100 was closed until 1:15 a.m. Sunday because of the crash investigation.
