FOLSOM, CA : Bicyclist killed in crash at Folsom intersection on Monday, 3rd June 2019

A bicyclist was killed in a crash with a car Monday morning near the intersection of Willard Drive and Iron Point Road, police said.

Police received a 911 call at 6:24 a.m. about a crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle, Folsom police Officer Andrew Graham said.Rescue crews rushed to the scene where the bicyclist was pronounced dead.

The crash is under investigation. Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.

The intersection was closed Monday morning but reopened around noon.
