Niles,IL : Woman killed after hitting utility pole with car in Elgin on April, Thursday 12th 2018

47-year-old woman was killed Thursday night after she lost control of her vehicle and struck a utility pole, Elgin police said.

The crash occurred about 6:40 p.m. in the area of McDonald and Corron roads, a new release said. The driver, whose identity is being withheld until her family is notified, was westbound on McDonald Road when the collision occurred, the release said.

The woman was taken to Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, where she was pronounced dead.
