BRISTOL, CT : 1 dead after motorcycle crash in Bristol on Sunday, November 27th 2016

A 34-year-old man has died after a sport-utility vehicle collided with his motorcycle in Bristol.
Police say the accident happened Sunday morning on Route 6 when a 20-year-old woman driving the SUV turned in front of the motorcycle. Authorities say the man died at the scene as a medical helicopter was en route.

The names of the man and the woman have not been released.

Police say the man was not wearing a helmet, and drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident. Authorities say the SUV driver apparently did not see the motorcycle.

The crash remains under investigation.

Part of Route 6 was closed for several hours.
